Heritage Road

The Hermitage Road winery sits on a hill in Australia's Lower Hunter Valley, at the top of Hermitage Road which is both their name and address. They crush grapes from a number of high-quality growing areas in south-eastern Australia, including the Hunter Valley, Barossa Valley, Mudgee and Victoria's King Valley. Three main lines are produced: "The Stones", which are proprietary blends with a distinctly Australian taste, the white is called Moonstone, the red Bloodstone. "Down Under Classics" are traditional blends sold at popular prices, the white is made of chardonnay, the red is made of shiraz. The third line is "Reserves", special lots of great distinction, made in limited quantities, to ensure the highest possible quality. A chardonnay is part of that line, so is a Cabernet-Merlot blend.
