Henri Bourgeois

For ten generations, the Bourgeois family has cultivated its vines in the heart of the Sancerre region. They established their estate on well exposed sloping hillsides in the celebrated village of Chavignol which is famous for its wines and for its goat cheese, the Crottin de Chavignol. From two hectares in 1950, Henri Bourgeois and his children have built up a vineyard of 55 hectares, judiciously spread over the best slopes of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. Traditons passed from father to son ensure the respect of the terroir and growing and vinifying practices which are occasionally improved by new methods.
