Chauvenet

The house of Chauvenet was founded by François Chauvenet in 1853 in Nuits St-Georges in the heart of the vineyards of Burgundy. Since its beginnings this fine wine négociant-éleveur has built and maintained solid relationships with the best growers in Burgundy, Beaujolais and the Rhône Valley. Wines are very carefully selected in each of these appellations. In Burgundy, appellations are bought mainly as grapes or must and the wines are made in its own facilities, giving complete control over temperatures and hygiene. They are then handled with constant care and attention and aged until ready for bottling. Since 1993 the house has been owned and run by the large Burgundian wines and spirits group, Jean-Claude Boisset, La Famille Des Grands Vins.
