Château Kirwan

The name Kirwan goes back to the 17th century, when Edward Kirwan left his Welsh-Irish homeland to settle in Bordeaux. He set up home in the Domaine de Lassalle in Cantenac and renamed it Château Kirwan on the eve of the revolution. The Kirwan family sold the château in 1820, while the Schyler family became owners in 1925.
