Augier Robin Briand
The house of Augier Robin Briand was the result of a merger on January 1, 1989 of Augier Frères, Jules Robin and Maison Briand. Augier Frères, founded in 1643, was acquired by Seagrams in 1966. Jules Robin, founded in 1782, and its subsidiary, Brandy Maison Briand were purchased by the Martell family in 1964.
Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited certified the A.R.B. quality control system under the ISO 9001 standard (1994) on April 19, 1996. The ARB quality control system applies to the research, development and making of spirit drinks.
De Valcourt, the company's leading brand of brandy, has been available on the Canadian market for over 20 years. The Napoléon de Valcourt brandy is known for its suppleness, elegance and refined bouquet. In 1992 A.R.B. launched a prestige French brandy: De Valcourt 10 ans d'âge, a brandy with a unique taste, aged for ten years in oak barrels. It has a refined packaging as befits a prestige French brandy.
